Between now and the theatrical release of Inglourious Basterds (click here) in August, you’ll have enough time to catch up on your Macaroni Combat education. That’s right, you heard me, Macaroni Combat, not Spaghetti Western. Well actually, you should probably dive in there as well, as Inglourious Basterds is a homage to both (and more). The reason I’m writing this is, that Severin Ent. in the US has just released two centerpiece movies by …

We are hereby asking all of you readers out there to fasten your seat belts, tighten your belts and close your zippers, remove all breakable objects to a safe distance and close all doors and windows. Take a deep breath, calm down. Ready?
According to Italy Global Nation (IGN), none other than – and bear with me now, please don’t faint, dear readers – Ennio Morricone, ‘il maestro’ himself, has agreed to create the score …

Adding to the last news entry, HERE are a few more pictures of Daniel Bruehl and some of the action scenes for Inglourious Basterds that were just filmed in Goerlitz, Germany. What’s even better though, is a video clip showing American soldiers during an attack (that goes wrong I think). The scene being filmed here is part of the movie within the movie, with Daniel’s character Fredrick Zoller being up in the buildings somewhere …

It was a slow-news weekend behind enemy lines, but thanks to papparazzi portal Belga.be we are able to get some first impressions from Inglourious Basterds‘ action scenes. Click here to see 5 pictures from the set in Goerlitz, Germany. See soldiers, Daniel Bruehl and mayhem on the streets. Most glorious of all the Basterds, QT himself, he sure seems to make sure to put lots of inglorious action on screen. Here at the QTA …

Our friends at The Playlist report that they’ve gotten word that none other than Samuel L. Jackson might/will do the sparse narration in Inglourious Basterds. Sam Jackson! Maybe he will strike down with furious anger those who attempt to destroy the Basterds? Not only that, but apparently Asian goddess Maggie Cheung – who apparently speaks French fluently, thus squaring her hotness – will play Madame Mimieux! (And I thought I’m gonna have a slow …

Here’s a little update on the production status of Inglourious Basterds. Currently, the whole crew is in a small town called Nauen, Germany where preparations are on the way for a few night time shoots dealing with key scenes involving the Basterds, Aldo Raine, von Hammersmark and lots of bullets flying. A traditional looking street has been turned into that of an old french town called Nadine, and one of the houses disguised as …

A couple weeks ago, we (via the black hole that is the IMDB) leaked a mock poster for (what was then still called) Inglorious Bastards (click here to check it out, it’s the red one with the eagle and the bullet hole on the swastika, which I personally thought was a cool poster idea). Now, a few more concept artwork ideas have leaked onto the net. Heavily photoshopped, very bad looking, but nevertheless interesting, …

I should’ve had this up yesterday but I was too blind, as it is a distance shot and I thought the guy running around without A SCALP was in fact a riot cop with a red beret. Turns out he’s one of the Nazis that got scalped by Quentin Tarantino’s platoon of Inglourious Basterds. Take a look. (source: belga.be)

Someone took a camera to the farm house set where Quentin Tarantino filmed the opening sequence of Inglourious Basterds. The production has since moved to other locations, but it is nevertheless worth checking out, you can see the set up close, see the water pump and the inside of the Perrier LaPadite farmhouse that served as the backdrop to introducing Hans Landa of the SS and the LaPadite gals. Check it out here: Inglourious …

I always wanted to write this headline. As Welt Online reports, the Inglourious Basterds security crew was using water cannons to fend of curious papparazzi at the current Fort Hahneberg (Spandau, Germany) set, where some sort of execution scene was being filmed. The whole set was of course sealed of hermetically on a wide area, but you know those paps…. they want pictures of Brad no matter what…. Stay tuned. (thanks to David for …

Let me introduce you to the principal Basterd, the head honcho Basterd, most Inglourious of all Basterds, Lt. Aldo Raine (insert applause here). We’ve got a first look at Brad Pitt in full resistance fighter gear for you. Remember, this ain’t your Warner Brothers 1950s WW2 hero, this is a hillbilly straight from the mountains of Tennessee, a man with a scar around his neck that “will never once be mentioned,” this is Brad …

To end weeks of speculation, clicking HERE will get you an almost entirely complete cast listing of Inglourious Basterds. There’s some minor things that have yet to come to light, but at least now we know Quentin Tarantino’s Adolf Hitler (Martin Wuttke), his Winston Churchill (Australian actor Rod Taylor) and his Joseph Goebbels (Sylvester Groth). Do some wikipedia to refresh your knowledge of European history, or don’t. Will be back with more once I’m …

While the slower websites out there think this is just starting production, you loyal readers of course know better. Yet now there’s an official press release, and what’s really interesting about it is the title. Inglorious Bastards? Nope. Inglorious Basterds (my favorite)? Nope. Inglourious Basterds (the title on the leaked script)? Apparently. I promise that one of the first ever things I’ll ask Quentin, is why he chose that title. But Q being Q, …

Happy monday everyone. While I still don’t have a personal broadband connection, at least I found the time to plant myself (“I said plant, plants don’t talk”) in the library and sift through the millions of emails that have gathered up over the last few weeks while I was moving to a new city. For those who don’t know I officially started grad school today, but don’t worry, I’ve said it years ago and …

This isn’t quite what you’ll expect from reading the headline, but nevertheless, it’s a look behind the scenes already! While avid readers of our website will probably have heard the rumors that we’ll be offering the most ass-kicking coverage of Inglorious Basterds pretty soon, what you’ll see below are links to some pictures of the production that originate from German newspapers. The pictures are from the set in Sebnitz, Germany, where Quentin Tarantino has …

It is on, ladies and gentlemen. In a perfect world we’d have a sound bite of Quentin Tarantino yelling “allriiiiiight, aaaaand action!”for you, but you have to use your imagination for now. Inglorious Basterds, the huge mountain QT is starting to ascend, has started filming today in the outskirts of Sebnitz, Germany, with Christoph Waltz and others in full SS Nazi gear stepping into frame for what we can only assume will be one …

Yes, we’re still kicking. It’s been a bit slow because yours truly just moved to a new city, and lack of a decent broadband connection has kept me from updating regularily. But here’s something to wrap your head around: We can confirm that Julie “Sofie Fatale” Dreyfus will in fact play the character Francesca Mondino in Inglorious Basterds, not Anne-Sophie Frank as previously reported. This will of course be Julie’s second adventure with Quentin …

Behave baby, shagadelic. Mike Myers, at the AFI Night at the Movies, talked a little about his involvement in Inglorious Basterds. He tells MTV that he is thrilled to work with Quentin Tarantino, that he can’t believe he got the call. He says he has talked with Quentin on the phone for hours, he feels “like I am a tube of paint in his painting, and it is a very beautiful feeling”. He said …
