Quentin Tarantino’s next movie is: Django Unchained (updated)

When you are a quarterback, and looking for someone to pass the ball to, you sometimes get hit from the side because either a team mate did not do their job right or you just got surprised. Well bazinga, as that Sheldon Cooper character from The Big Bang theory would say, I was about to hit the sack and let the couple of brewskies put me to sleep when something happened in the Tarantino world….

If you follow this website, just recently or maybe since when we started it almost 10 years ago, you might or might now have smelled it. It was awfully silent, I mean aside from Ball’s birds, and something seemed to be rotten in Denmark, as they say. Well, if you’ve been wondering what Quentin Tarantino‘s next movie will be, the wait is over. Quentin has put pen to paper recently (which pens you should really know, as a true fan) and after what is known as publishing day, another ‘magnus opum’ is now seeing the light of day.

Tarantino fans rejoice, for what we have here, officially, is Senor Q. T’s latest ….. DJANGO UNCHAINED

And while you are recovering from your heart attacks, let me run this down for you my friends, geek style. The two-word Tarantino movie title is back, and we have a deuce reference. Of course to the ever legendary spaghetti western Django of 1966 by Sergio Corbucci (click this link now if you have no idea who either of these are), and of course Sukiyaki Western Django, by the revered Takashi Miike in which Q shot a snake! Django is of course the fella with the gatling gun in his coffin…  but what if QT unleashes a Django onto the screen? Fiesta…..

At this point we cannot confirm whether this has anything to do with recent rumors that this might be Quentin’s “southern” or if it is a “real” spaghetti western or anything else. The whole script does not seem to have leaked, but you don’t wanna be a leaker considering the legal troubles that would get yourself into. TWC’s lawyers will most likely come down on you like the guns of navarone, they will be Superfly TNT…. so be cool, fonzies. We will keep you posted on further developments, and watch this space for more (we will be adding some links below the script cover)!

This better not be a hoax like Sofia Coppola ‘secret door’. :/

  3. Hugocagnolini says:

    Unchained , not unleashed

  4. Joshuagallegos says:

I like that Quentin writes with crayons! So unpretentious.

I don’t know about this title, can’t say I really like it. I mean compared to his previous titles, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds, this one seems, I don’t know, somewhat unoriginal or not very unique.

    • Zanz says:

“Unoriginal or not very unique”? You’re comparing to Inglourious Basterds and Jackie Brown… One being the name of an older movie with vague similarities and one being the name of the main character.
Kill bill and Death Proof not far behind on the scale of apparent lack of originality.
I think, apart from the fact that it’s no more or less original than his previous titles, it has nothing to do with how good the content will be. ‘Quentin Tarantino’ is all a film needs for people to watch it. As will be the case with this.

  6. django unchained: a great nod to the spaghetti western series that had all kinds of sequels, also i love that its a spaghetti western transplanted to slavery times of old. this is gonna be one furious movie!

  7. Sacher Torte says:

This is extremely exciting, especially with the rumor that Christoph Waltz will play a German bounty hunter. I can’t WAIT to hear more! :-)

  8. Shy says:

    like it.期待新作

  9. L.A. Angel says:

I really hope the script leaks… I think Quentin Tarantino could care less, he puts a lot of time into writing & I think he’s pretty proud about the actual screenplay so I’m sure he personally wouldn’t mind if the script got out there… I can’t wait to read it.

  10. Trevor Kravits says:

How could I find myself on this set? I would kill to work under the great QT.

  11. Superbattle76 says:

I got just the villain for QT to play Calvin Candie……Perry King aka Massah Hammond in Mandingo who did in Ken Norton w/ a boiling cauldron

  12. Klafayet says:

As far as the title I think its completely appropriate considering the main character is a former slaved, hence “unchained” and come on, can you really say Jackie Brown is the best title considering its just the name of the main character?

  17. SWEET. so excited. I love ALL of QT’s movies. I love his dialogue in his Films. and this sounds REALLY COOL and some what SIMILAR to Kill Bill.

  18. Anonymous says:

Q is guna rock the hell outta this film…… as always! What will be interesting is watching Q and Scorcese’s boy toy Leo work some magic on film! Can’t wait for this! On a side note… im happy Will Smith backed out of the film. Not a good match i think.

  19. Ansleyds says:

I just watched Basterds and was not impressed by the subtitling. It was difficult to read because it appeared too briefly for either of us to read and also the words were always up against a bright background such as the table in the initial French farmhouse scene. We missed a lot of the plot because of this and were relieved when the characters finally spoke English yet some of that was mumbled.

  20. FramED says:

OMFG i realy love quentin doing a western!
i was waiting for this a long time!!!!!!!!

hope franco nero gets a part also!

  21. Kane says:

Tarantino is a legend undoubtedly. Western movies hit my heart better than any other. The two combined just seem poetic already.

  22. Neecolye says:

I read the first few pages of the script.  I read a few pages from the middle of the script.  I read the last page of the script.  One song played in my head over and over….All Black Everything by Lupe Fiasco.  Tarantino is crazy enough to take a chance on a not so famous but amazing hip hop artist from Chicago.  Do it Q!  Put him in the soundtrack Q!…..well, that is if he’ll let you.

  23. Tim says:

yeah it,it does seam some what unoriginal for a Tarantino movie , how many times has this movie been made?, it fucken boring, i guy walks into town dragging a coffin, big frigging deal, inside the coffin is a gatling gun that he blows everybody away with eventually, cause nobody else has a gatling gun. its was fun watching the first time, not again, and again and again, now if  he came into town dragging two mother friggen coffins  and six other ass wholes came into town dragging coffins and you had a mexican standoff gatling gun fight, hell yeah and also put in chixs with motor cycle for good measure,  maybe, ah screw the chixs motor cycle idea, but DJango, if any can pull it off its Tarantino, or maybe he wont, this could be his first bomb?

  24. Tim says:

I just herd Kevin Costner is going to be in this movie, and i am starting to feel sick

  25. Tim says:

Besides Kevin Costner, I also herd Leonardo Dicaprio, and Jamie Fox are in DJango Unchained, Wow! not your usual cast of actors, I would expect to see in a Tarantino, movie, ha, I hope its good. It will most likely be another cool movie and Kevin Costner’s greatest roll since he said Ta Tonka

  26. Adrian says:

I saw the trailer for it yesterday and it looks like a sure fire classic gunslinging film.

  27. Paris Wilson says:

Going to see a Quintin Tarantino movie is like going to see the best fireworks display anyone can ever have, you wait with eagerness to hear the first bit of dialogue, and what will be said and your in a trance just because you are hearing the best dialogue money can buy, i am African American so i did get offended by the ”N” word being threw around like a Frisbee, but if he is true to the life of a hitman that hangs around black people in the hood and happens to have a black wife named Bonnie, then he will more than likely use the ”N” word a lot, but as a director he has to be true to what he is writing and feeling because if he is not the movie will be a total waste of time.
