Quentin Tarantino announces director’s cut of Django Unchained

In an interview, where Quentin also goes into detail about the recent Netflix mini-series version of The Hateful Eight, he also dropped a huge ball:

I’ve actually cut a director’s cut of Django Unchained. That’s about like three hours and 15 minutes, or three hours and 20 minutes, something like that. That’s one I wouldn’t do as a miniseries, because it would just be better [as a movie]. I thought about that idea, but that would just work better as one movie. Just a longer one as far as I was concerned. So I’ve actually done that. We’re just kind of waiting some time after Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, and we’ll release that eventually.
