Adam Sandler hands out rain check for Inglorious Bastards

Adam Sandler, long rumored to being considered by Quentin Tarantino for a role in his upcoming Inglorious Bastards, which is currently in pre-production in Germany, has confirmed to RTE.ie that he was in fact approached by Quentin, has read the script, but had to decline the offer due to conflicting schedules. He is quoted saying “Yeah it’s true. It is, and I read the script, it’s fantastic. But I’m shooting at the very same time. I won’t be able to do it. [….] not going to happen, but I did read it. It is awesome. […] I know Quentin for a long time. We’ve been talking about doing it for years, for like five, six, seven years […].” No word on what role he was considered for, we hope to bring you that information. Sandler’s last encounter with Quentin was with Little Nicky, where Q slipped into the role of a blind apocalypse-sensing priest susceptible to freak accidents.
