Brad Pitt confirmed for Inglorious Bastards role

We just got this confirmed, and get ready to be excited! Brad Pitt will play Lt. Aldo Raine in Quentin Tarantino‘s Inglorious Bastards. He’s been in talks for a while now and I’m happy to report that he’s in! Raine is a real Tennesseean badass leading a platoon of all-jewish, nazi-scalping specialists behind enemy lines in France. Joining him (confirmed so far) are Eli Roth as Sgt Donowitz and B.J. Nowak as Private Utivich. Casting confirmations have yet to come in on who will play the female lead of the film as well as some of the villians, including Nazi Colonel Landa. This should be the greatest news for Brad Pitt fans as well, who admire his great character roles such as Goines in 12 Monkeys or, of course, his cameo as a pothead in True Romance. Update: A good hour later but still, The Hollywood Reporter quotes Laurence Bender saying that the alchemy of Pitt and Tarantino will yield unique results. “You’ll see something different with the two of them,” he said. “They’re going to push each other and really help make something special.”
