In my opinion, Mr. Tarantino has changed the face of American action movies for the good! Lots of movies come and go ,but Quentin’s movies stick with you! The mixture of his writing, casting and choice of soundtracks are unequaled in the industry!

Don’t see Hateful Eight at Varsity in Toronto. They butchered the projection of this film. It looked like 70mm projected through a jar of Vaseline. Very disappointed.

AMC Northpark in Dallas was a joke. They used a normal size screen (Star Wars is on all the large ones), which when the 2.76:1 aspect ratio was projected, made for an underwhelmingly small image. Tarantino would have been upset. AMC should be ashamed. It should have opened at LOOK on their evo screen, or anywhere else for that matter. Epic fail.

FYI The Park Theatre in Vancouver is NOT SHOWING THE FILM IN 70MM . I was there opening night and management made everyone there aware that the film would be shown digitally and if you didn’t like that you could trade your ticket in for a voucher to see it some other day when they had the print up and running. Not impressed as I asked for the ticket for XMAS..and drove all the way there to see the print from Langley. Someone needs to get down there and show them how to set up the print that’s sitting there and offer the patrons who showed up on xmas day a voucher in addition to their paid ticket to see the film the way the film is being advertised .
