Fassbender replacing Pegg?
Variety reports today that German actor Michael Fassbender, known to many for his “then we’ll fight in the shade” role in 300 (the adaptation of Frank Miller’s graphic novel with the uber-sexy Spartan queen…), is “in final negotiations” to play the role in Inglorious Bastards that Simon Pegg had to say no to (due to scheduling problems with this geek road movie film), Lt. Archie Hicox.
According to the Wikipedia, Fassbender has produced, directed and starred in a stage adaptation of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. He has also been in Band of Brothers, the Spielberg/Hanks produced WW2 mini-series.
