Back to the Grindhouse this year?

Hello I’m back, and via Cinema Blend comes some news related to a possible Grindhouse release in the US later this year. The movie as it was originally shown there in theaters has never seen the inside of a DVD player except in Japan, so fans are eagerly waiting for this (and *sigh* yes also for the Kill Bill Whole Bloody Affair). CinemaBlend writes that Robert Rodriguez, who had been interviewed at the SXSW festival, “commented that a Grindhouse release later this year would put the movies back together in the extended double feature”. That raises hopes indeed. Rodriguez also talked about Machete, as reported by Slashfilm, which he described as being ready to being made. But Robert’s big project is of course Nerverackers right now.
