Ennio Morricone is no Basterd
Our dear friends and investigative geniuses at The Playlist sadly bring to our attention that Ennio Morricone, the grand master of composed and conducted music and eternal ‘il maestro’ among musicians, will not contribute to the score for Inglourious Basterds. Please wipe the tears off your eyes, my faithful readers. Life goes on. You may now start your favorite Morricone tune in your mp3 players and take a deep breath. Morricone’s official site actually reports that due to a prior committment with Italian director Guiseppe Tornatore, who created such masterpieces as Cinema Paradiso, also beautifully scored by the maestro and itself a possible influence on Inglourious Basterds, he is unable to contribute to Quentin Tarantino’s magnum opus, especially considering that it will probably wrap in a few weeks already.
