Universal to co-finance Quentin’s Nazi-hunters

As reported over the last few weeks, The Weinstein Company was seeking a co-financier for Inglorious Bastards. According to Variety, a deal has been made now with Universal Pictures (Paramount was reportedly also final talks). Bear in mind that co-financing the film does not mean Universal is now the production company. The film is and has always been a Weinstein production. It is not uncommon for studios to cooperate, especially regarding international distribution. The film will start shooting in about 8 weeks, preparations are on the way in Berlin, Germany.
