Brad Pitt the Bastard?

Brad Pitt FloydWhile Variety is bringing some clarity to the previously reported breaking news of Inglorious Bastards being offered to the major Hollywood studios for cooperation, we also get information from Deadline Hollywood, that Brad Pitt is in talks with Quentin Tarantino (or the other way around) to star in the film. Inglorious Bastards will in fact be produced by Harvey Weinstein and Lawrence Bender, as Variety reports, and TWC is distributing the film domestically (USA). The Hollywood Reporter writes the partnership that’s sought is mostly because a helping hand is needed for production and distribution abroad, the film is set to start shooting in Europe this October. The last time Brad Pitt had an encounter with the Tarantino universe was with True Romance where he gave an amazing, pot-smoking performance as Floyd. What role would Pitt play? We can’t speculate until someone sends us a leaked version of the script (hint!).  For those interested in comparing coverage: RTE, Reuters, ROS
