What is Dragon Dynasty?
- A subsidiary of The Weinstein Company and distributed by Genius Products, their DVD arm, Dragon Dynasty is the Weinstein's effort to finally bring Asian movies to American audiences in high quality, with extras and uncut. A huge chunk of their releases will be films acquired from the Shaw Brothers, namely the entire Shaw Brothers film library. Other films include recent asian releases or films licensed from Hong Kong Legends. Quentin Tarantino is in some way co-producing this effort and he lends his name to many of the releases to increase publicity (see also: Rolling Thunder Pictures)
