German Grindhouse DVD available for pre-order

That groovy 6-Disc edition of Grindhouse in Japan still bears a somewhat hefty price, so all you importers might want to consider  taking a look at the upcoming German 2-Disc Limited Collector’s Edition that will hit German DVD stores September 22. We bring you the final cover artwork for this edition that’s most likely going to be a gas-can style packaged deal selling for around 30 Euros. In addition to German Dolby and DTS audio tracks, that baby will also include the English audio track, no word yet on extras. It remains unclear whether this two disc edition splits up the movie or whether disc 2 is reserved for extras only. We’ll bring you more on that soon. Head over to our Grindhouse DVD page to check out the specifications, shopping links and cover artwork. Make sure to use our links should you consider buying it. We’ll keep you posted on other worldwide releases of the double feature.

Update: We can now confirm that there will be a complete German dub as well as the original English language track. The DVD will be in 1.85:1 format, meaning Death Proof will sport a more open aspect ratio than it’s original theatrical aspect of 2.35:1 for its separate release. Disc 2 will in fact be a Bonus disc. More info soon
