That man from America – Tarantino caught location scouting

You’re the caretaker of an old tower (click to see a picture) in a lovely city in the east of Germany, and a few people from Babelsberg Film Studios books a quick tour of these old structures. They show up and there are a few Americans with them. No wonder your colleagues will later poke fun at you for not recognizing Quentin Tarantino as “that man from America” who was in the city of Görlitz scouting locations and discussing camera angles. He afterwards dined in a local restaurant (the subject of this radio spot) and drove off. The whole interview with the caretaker is here (German!), here’s a horrible machine-translated version of it. Inglorious Bastards will go into principal shooting in mid-October, seems like the location scouting is in full swing all around the larger Berlin area.
