Basterds ‘ante portas’ – more goodies

I did miss a lot of things yesterday, posting my monday wrap-up. Inglourious Basterds is already opening theatrically in a few countries tomorrow, and there’s an endless supply of articles, reviews, videos, tv show appearances and much more. Here’s another quick run-through for your convenience, enjoy.

Quentin Tarantino has been on Howard Stern (click). Spinner has a an article on the greatest Tarantino music moments. The Boston Globe has an article on the women in Basterds. The NYT has a new episode of Times Talks with Quentin. The Guardian, not a fan of Tarantino’s movies (at least the majority of their reviews are quite hostile) has an article praising his work as a cineast, while somewhat bashing Basterds, oh well. Mr Beaks at AICN is interviewing Eli Roth, worth reading. UGO has an interview up with BJ Novak. But have you seen the awesome ArtistOnArtist interview between Tarantino and Eli Roth, absolutely a must-see, check it out here on Myspace. Quentin Tarantino was on Letterman today I think, and will be on The Treatment with Elvis Mitchell. How to be a Basterd: Inside the New Film by Quentin Tarantino is being aired on Thursday (10p-10:30p and Saturday at 12a-12:30a) in the US, also. This is the exclusive 30-minute behind-the-scenes look at the making of Inglorious Basterds, and it’s being aired on THIS TV (MGM) (click here to find out more). Otherwise, you Basterds, click here for our release calendar, which should give you the opening day in your country, keep an eye out at a local theater near you, and if you live in a country like Germany where movies are being ridiculously dubbed, make sure you watch it in the original version, the language is a very integral part of this film. In the US, the movie opens on Friday.

The soundtrack is being released today, click here for tracklistings and Amazon links (thanks for using those, it supports this website a great deal) and here for the screenplay on paperback. We’ll post reviews of both soon.

By the way, a big thank you to “Avi” for keeping me posted on a lot of things. If YOU find things on the net not mentioned here, please send us an email. And yes, we’ve changed our “Forum” to “Community” and we have a brand new message board there and we’re still working on a lot of things, please email us if you have problems or questions.
