It is in fact not a book about the movie references in Tarantino’s films (like we ...

The post If you like Quentin Tarantino… book review appeared first on The Quentin Tarantino Archives.

I’m sitting in Pat & Lorraine’s Coffee Shop on Eagle Rock Boulevard, a few minutes outside Hollywood, having a late breakfast. I’m discussing last night’s screening of Django Unchained with Michael, a long time veteran ...

The post Django Unchained movie review appeared first on The Quentin Tarantino Archives.

There are three new clips from the movie up at movieweb.com that give a better impression of a) Brad’s accent and personality b) Diane Kruger’s hot french accent, c) the evil that is personified in Landa and d) the use of Morricone’s L’Arena in Inglourious Basterds. Watch the three clips right here.

While I still don’t have a personal broadband connection, at least I found the time to plant myself (“I said plant, plants don’t talk”) in the library and sift through the millions of emails that have gathered up over the last few weeks while I was moving to a new city. Most British TV series do not run for a very long time, in the case of Spaced only two seasons, and there’s a flurry of funny little shows every other year, leading as a whole to lots of diversity and fun, but also to danger of things falling under the radar.

After The Dirty Dozen was released in 1967, it was a big smash in Europe and it soon spawned a whole bunch of remakes by Italian directors. In the late 70s, Italian master director Enzo G. Castellari did his own spin on the “men on a mission” film with Quel Maledetto Treno Blindatto aka The Inglorious Bastards. Being an incredible stylist of cinema, Il Maestro Castellari brought a wild, raucous vision of war to ...

The post Inglorious Bastards DVD review appeared first on The Quentin Tarantino Archives.

Their review of Quentin’s final draft of the Inglorious Bastards (Inglourious Basterds as it sais) script is not as over-excited as the one from last night, but they call it “the most enjoyable read of the year for me so far. Again, a masterpiece. Killer dialogue, excellent execution, and master craftsmanship by Tarantino.” Read it here.
