It was a great April Fool’s joke everyone, sorry for tricking you like this. We made the front page of Reddit, and over 200.000 people read this story. So in a way, one of the best pranks in a while. If we’d post news on Tarantino projects, we do it right. Definitely follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus to stay up to date on the latest from Tarantino’s world. Thanks for reading …

Yeah we know there are stories out there about how Quentin wants to make a RomCom, but there are always stories out there about what it is that Quentin wants to make (supposedly or not only Quentin knows). Here at the QTA, we let the facts speak, and so we’re not writing about any of it. And we all know he’ll not be in the Smurfs, that’s just BS. Same goes for that Lady …

THE Inglourious Basterds fan page on social networking platform Facebook (a project of The Quentin Tarantino Archives of course) has just hit 1,000 fans (or ‘basterds’). Why am I posting this? Coz that went pretty fast, didn’t it (for the record, our Hell Ride fan page already has over 1,100 fans!)? I’m also posting this because there are a few other such pages on Facebook – Some of them claim to be “official” (which …

Happy monday everyone. While I still don’t have a personal broadband connection, at least I found the time to plant myself (“I said plant, plants don’t talk”) in the library and sift through the millions of emails that have gathered up over the last few weeks while I was moving to a new city. For those who don’t know I officially started grad school today, but don’t worry, I’ve said it years ago and …

Guess what, bikers, I’ve finally seen Hell Ride. And to mark the occasion, I watched it twice and cooked up a review that is – for a change – not safe for work (NSFW). The review is full of slightly foul language and lots of pictures of naked women (DVD screenshots). I was hoping to be able to announce that the awesome soundtrack to this movie is available already but unfortunately it is not …

Just a short heads up for you home video lovers out there. Sad news first: the announced German DVD of Grindhouse has been postponed until 2009, indicating a possible simultaneous worldwide release instead. Hardcore fans will thus have to stick with the overpriced Japanese box with the inferior transfer. I also got the Swedish Hell Ride DVD in the mail today. More sad news for all you importers: there are no extras on that …

Usually, you’d see the soundtrack CD of a new movie in stores weeks before the movie comes out. That is – unfortunately – not the case with Hell Ride. A deal with Decca Records seems not to have translated into available Amazon pre-orders of any sort yet. But there’s hope. The film is already listed on DVD, and it is now hitting Europe (going directly to DVD in Sweden on August 27 already, followed …

The numbers are in on Hell Ride, which opened limited in the US this friday. Boxofficemojo lists it for only 82 theaters with an average intake on the film of about a thousand US dollars, totalling to an estimated $83,500 on the film’s first weekend. Considering the film’s only $4 million budget, and (I am only guessing wildly here) considering it might only make yet another 100 thousand or so over the course of …

You’ve gotta hand it to Larry Bishop. Any film that garners a bad review starting off describing the film as “a biker film, a spaghetti Western, a soft-core porno, a slice of macho poetry” (the review also talks about the chracters: “They act tough and commit brutality and fool around with legions of hot hookers”, hell yeah!) is at the same time – at least in my book – exactly the exploitation-type film I …

As promised, here’s an exclusive pre-release review of Larry Bishop‘s Hell Ride, written by Lance Polland, also co-writer/director of the upcoming anthology film Slices, which should hit your DVD shelf later this year. Hell Ride stars Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones, David Carradine, Leonor Varela, Eric Balfour and Dennis Hopper. The film opens limited in the United States next week August 8. Here’s an excerpt:
…..From the opening title sequence to the closing end credits I …

Only 7 days left until Larry Bishop unleashes bikes, beer and booty upon an unfortunately only limited number of screens across the United States. You’re seen the red band trailer, you’ve seen the behind the scenes clip, you’ve red our exclusive interview with the director, and this week we’ll bring you an advance review of the film, too. To shorten the wait for Hell Ride, the new public trailer has gone online on the …

If you live in the Los Angeles area, and if you like a movie that would bring you good old R-rated “bikes, beer and booty”, then you’re our man/woman! Hell Ride doesn’t come out (in limited release) before August 8, but Amazon already has a picture of the DVD cover artwork up. The film will be released October 28 (according to the retailer’s website) as part of the Dimension Extreme series. In our exclusive interview with director Larry Bishop he said “I’m working on all the extras for the DVD right now. It’s gonna be fucking fantastic.” The movie is about a …

When you’re dealing with a movie that subscribes to “bikes, beer and booty”, anyone who likes a good fun flick gets excited. In this case, Hell Ride, directed by Larry Bishop, offers more than just that. A bunch of rowdy bikers, Dennis Hopper and Michael Madsen at the helm, some really sexy ladies, booze and some spaghetti western tunes. If you haven’t seen the trailer, do it now, because then we’ve got Larry Bishop …

It is here: the CS-exclusive red band trailer for Hell Ride. Larry Bishop brings us some good old biker grudges, booze, sexy ladies, beers and kickin’ rock and roll. It’s Dennis Hopper being mean, Michael Madsen being Michael Madsen, David Carradine as a twisted version of Bill and Leonor Varela as the sexiest woman in a biker movie ever. Period. The trailer features some Grindhouse-style get-you-in-the-mood thrills and a whole series of one-liners. Check …

Google feverishly and thou shalt be rewardeth, sayeth the lord, and he giveth: An AMCtv video, with some behind the scenes footage, movie clips and interviews of Hell Ride has appeared online. Still hoping to see the real Hell Ride trailer as soon as possible, but in the meantime, there’s some fodder for you all. The clip is especially watch-worthy for an I-am-sure-soon-legendary scene of Balfour pissing on Dennis Hopper‘s boots and some geek …

What do Dennis Hopper, David Carradine, and Michael Madsen have in common? They are all three way too old to be in a biker movie. But they are, and that’s a big plus for all the exploitation movie fans out there. Biker film were some of the pivotal entries in motion picture history. They were rebellious, alternative and anti-establishment films that broke the ground and made Hollywood safe for roadmovies and other freedomsy type …

I told you I was gonna have something Tarantino-ish for you before christmas, my friends. It comes in the form of biker boots, legendary actors, dusty highways and loud choppers. The cooler than cool folks at shocktillyoudrop.com have a bunch of production stills up that you …

Tarantino will produce Larry Bishop‘s Hell Ride. A biker movie starring Michael Madsen, Larry Bishop himself, and Eric Balfour. Hopper recently spilled some info on how he will play a character called Eddie ‘Scratch’ Zero, a weird personality, no further details are known. Hell Ride is a weird phenomenon, as there are fake torrent downloads out there, and Amazon.com has listed the film already, although it hasn’t even started shooting (or it’s at least …
