Sad news first: the announced German DVD of Grindhouse has been postponed until 2009, indicating a possible simultaneous worldwide release instead. Hardcore fans will thus have to stick with the overpriced Japanese box with the inferior transfer. I also got the Swedish Hell Ride DVD in the mail today. The previously released American 15th anniversary DVD of Reservoir Dogs will get a second life in the UK this October. Lionsgate will release a Limited 2 Disc Collector’s Edition on DVD and BluRay on October 20th. We’ve known it for quite some team, but now comes the official press release as reported by DVDActive. Miramax will increase both Volumes of Kill Bill separately, as well as a set with both discs, on September 9. Will the long postponed high definition release of Kill Bill happen this fall? Kill Bill, both Volume 1 and Volume 2 have been announced for HD media for quite some time.
