Tabloids claim Tarantino plans Dracula movie
This came out of nowhere. Apparently Quentin Tarantino plans a short stay in Vienna, Austria and has planned trips to several castles in the surrounding area (source / source), supposedly location scouting for a Dracula movie. Now we’re not very sure what to make of this. For one, visiting castles is a very normal thing to do when you’re in Austria (or for that matter, anywhere else in Europe). Secondly, who says that is for a Dracula movie? It could really be for anything, from Inglourious Basterds 2 to Cinderella – or simply tourism. We’ll try to keep you posted on this :) And watch out at night, keep a cross, garlic juice and a dagger handy….
You are so right about this one. Although it's a cool idea, I'd love to see QT doing more horror. He may simply be playing tourist.
Yeah, there's no way he's doing a vampire movie. However, on the Pulp Fiction dvd there is an interview where Roger Avary says he's written a vampire movie. Sadly, he never made it. He described it as being to vampire films what Killing Zoe was to heist films. Sounded cool.
I reckon it could be obscure house hunting, or for a new film with Lady Gaga as the assassin as previously mentioned.
Didn't he write From Dusk Till Dawn? That's a vampire film, i'm pretty sure its not a dracula movie. I would love to see QT do a science fiction, that would be something else

maybe with all the new popularity towards vampire shit (via Twilight, True Blood, etc…) he was pushed to make his vampire movie he wrote a long time ago into a reality…Time will tell

Tarantino basically remaking “Where Eagles Dare” would be my dream movie. Or maybe a remake of “Where Eagles Dare” crossed with “The Thing” – guys on a mission stumble across a Nazi-bred mutating monster in an Austrian castle… now THAT’S my dream movie!

Dusk Till Dawn, the 1st one…one of my all time favorite vampire movies. But rumors are just that until I see the actual real deal. Dracula would be a hell of a feat.
