Basterds rakes in awards and 4 Globes nominations!

The Weinstein Company rocked the Golden Globe Awards with no less than 12 nominations (Variety), four of them for Inglourious Basterds, including best movie, best director, best screenplay and best supporting actor (you know who). Additionally, the already mentioned 10 nominations at the Critic’s Choice awards (see Guardian), with best picture, best supporting Waltz, best ensemble, best director, best screenplay, best cinematography (Robert Richardson), best art direction, editing (Sally Menke) and costume design. Closer to Oscars, Basterds collects

As we’re deep into the Oscars season, speculation heats about about Inglourious Basterds‘ chances of taking home one or more of the shiny little golden oscar statues.
