Inglourious Basterds, remember that one? Yeah the movie that’s still making close to a million at the box office every day. Reportedly, the US free-tv rights just went to TNT (the pay-tv rights are with Showtime) for about $15 million. Despite all that, the Weinstein Company seems bound to consolidate their business, more lay-offs ahead. Time to make a sequel/prequel, Quentin :)

Basterds will also open the Morelia Film Festival in Mexico, and it’s yet a bit too early to say how it’s doing around the world in the countries it only just opened theatrically at the end of the month. It’s already of course on top of the box office in Spain, for example.
