So we’re back with some Basterds news wrap-up business, because business is a-boomin’. It’s been a bit quiet lately, but we’ve got a whole bunch of links for you to make up for it. The making-of video to Nation’s Pride just being the tip of the iceberg (click here to watch). On that note, have you rated Basterds yet? If you’re an imdb registered member you can rate it, the movie’s currently at about 8.6/10 points! It’s also still doing well at the box office around the globe (cf. Here’s a quick and dirty rundown, we’ll try to bring some more exciting stuff soon. The Examiner has an interview with Castellari worth reading, and Screencrave has an interview with Quentin Tarantino. Vulture mag has an ironic conclusion of Quentin’s appearance on Charlie Rose. Variety has an interesting piece on the look and feel of Basterds. Then there’s someone who thinks he knows what needs to happen for QT to become an icon, and there’s a piece on the special effects of the movie. A good quick piece on war in modern memory (and violence), and here’s an interview with Eli Roth, who so funnily tries to immitate a German accent in the making of linked to above.
