If you hire Machete to kill the bad guy, make sure the bad guy isn’t you! Via our friends at Slashfilm and The Playlist, comes news that RobRod and his companero in the directing chair (Rodriguez will produce) will start production on the feature-length Machete in about 5 weeks. Turning the Grindhouse trailer into a full-fledged feature film has been in discussion for a long time now, and it’s great to see this one moving foward. Danny Trejo of course plays the titular character, an undercover agent or pro assassin who gets double crossed and turns on those who originally hired him, and thus venturing into an anti-corruption mini-campaign, involving… what else… machetes, hot chicks, lots of cool lines and… Cheech Marin.
