Of Klansmen, Basterds and Nazis – QT chats with the NYT

Today’s issue of The New York Times has the full article (available online here, a must-read) about Inglourious Basterds, which in parts had already circulated earlier, as the date on the article suggests. As The Playlist points out (thanks for the heads up), one of the more interesting blurbs emanating from that piece is a quote of Quentin Tarantino saying he has a possible sequel to Inglourious Basterds ready should that turn out successful. It would be about African-American soldiers caught behind enemy lines, a sub-plot that did not survive the writing dash QT performed to have a working script ready to shop around, which was last summer.  The article also goes a bit into the evolution of this project and I suggest you just read the piece.
