Are you ready for Basterds, Cannes?

Just the other day we were posting about the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair that has an exclusive photo shoot with the cast and crew of Inglourious Basterds, and now it’s available onlien. Also, the Inglourious Basterds screenplay seems to be up for pre-order on Amazon.com, yet we are not absolutely sure if it’s the real deal, as the publisher listed is not Weinstein Books. Yet The Quentin Tarantino Archives knows that – as opposed to Kill Bill – this time there will be a paperback with the screenplay before or around when the movie comes out. But now to the real news. Variety reports that Inglourious Basterds will compete at the Cannes Film Festival. Without citing any sources, they write that Quentin Tarantino will have the film ready for the May extravaganza at the French beaches (on the actual beach though, the alternative porn film festival takes place every year, so watch out for Quentin there, too, haha). We’ll keep you posted.

UPDATE: Vanity Fair has put the pictures online. Click here to check them out!
