According to EW/Variety, The William Morris Agency, Quentin Tarantino’s long-time home, is merging with Endeavor, another big Hollywood talent agency. I’m not industry expert enough to comment on this, but for those among you that follow more industry-related news, this is certainly an interesting development. I’ve always thought more consolidation among the smaller agencies would be good for the talent represented, not sure about the already big agencies.
Update: My favorite magazine has an article …

Looks like he’s back with a vengeance. Danny Trejo as Machete, the title character of the opening faux trailer from Grindhouse, will return to the big screen (or the small one if it goes straight to DVD). Variety learned that Robert Rodriguez, who seems to be attached to a dozen projects right now, including his own project Nerverackers, a Predator remake, Sin City 2 (which seems to be without a studio backer right now) …

Woah, here’s an overdue update, delayed to to various problems I’m not gonna post here. First up, Inglourious Basterds has officially been announced as in competition (even though some sources say it might be late) at the Cannes Film Festival with a running time of way over 2 hours (2.40min see official list)! Yours truly is back in action with a new laptop and an Ikea couch to rule the world from (or take a nap on, more likely). To put this into perspective, the last week has seen Quentin on American Idol, an extended clip with new footage and a few more articles and newspaper coverage of Inglourious Basterds. Personally, I am annoyed with the fact that it is very hard to get your hands on …

Oh what a long day, don’t get me started. I was looking forward to watching a downloaded version of the American Idol craziness when something ended up in my inbox. The Playlist, a website you absolutely must bookmark, got this via Film School Rejects, and it is … fasten your seatbelts … an extended version of Inglourious …

You’ve heard about it, you might’ve even watched it (unlike me), and from what I’m seeing now on YouTube it was probably lots of fun, with Quentin probably having had the most fun. Quentin Tarantino was on American Idol this week, mentoring, as they call it, the contestants on their performances of movie soundtracks. Well who better than Quentin, the master of movie soundtracks. MTV has a live blog of the performances (click) and …

While we’re trying to keep our BluRay overview page up-to-date (help us out in case we’re missing something, send us your reviews if you own some discs), High-Def Digest reports that Disney has moved the BluRay Disc releases of Jackie Brown and Pulp Fiction up to August 4 this year. Are they doing that because Inglourious Basterds will hit theaters 2 weeks later? We think so. Anyways, stay tuned …

Just the other day we were posting about the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair that has an exclusive photo shoot with the cast and crew of Inglourious Basterds, and now it’s available onlien. Also, the Inglourious Basterds screenplay seems to be up for pre-order on Amazon.com, yet we are not absolutely sure if it’s the real deal, as the publisher listed is not Weinstein Books. Yet The Quentin Tarantino Archives knows that – as …

Everyone’s least favorite TV show Entertainment Tonight is showing some previews of a Vanity Fair photo shoot with the Inglourious Basterds cast and director. The photos are supposedly going to be in the upcoming May issue of Vanity Fair, so make sure you pick that up to get a better look at glossy pictures. Here’s two screenshots from ETOnline’s promo video. Thanks to the always reliable Rama’s Screen for the heads up.
