Gotta hand it to Entertainment Weekly. On a slow news day, they churn out a list of 25 directors they think are the best currently working in the business. The list is somewhat odd, but Quentin Tarantino makes a solid 7th place. EW’s Chris Nashatawy explains why

WHY HIM: Because no one loves movies (the good, the bad, and the obscure) more. That fanboy giddiness comes across in every single frame, every soundtrack nugget, and every baroque pop monologue. Most of all because his passion is infectious. We walk out his flicks with a hundred more titles to add to our Netflix queue
