Empire Magazine‘s latest list termed “500 Greatest Movies of All Time” might be remotely democratic (it is based on a survey), yet it is utterly bizarre if you take the time and flick through the pages to see what movies ranked where. Here’s how Q’s movies did in this bizarrest of bizarre lists: The Bride’s revenge part two, Kill Bill: Volume 2 ranks 423rd; Oliver Stone‘s media satire based on Tarantino’s story, Natural Born Killers, ranks 364th; the first half of the best revenge movie of all time, Kill Bill: Volume 1, ranks 325th; Robert Rodriguez‘ stylish display of Jessica Alba‘s sexy curves, Sin City, ranks 274th; a hommage to blaxploitation, Jackie Brown ranks 215th; Tony Scott’s greatest of all pop culture love stories, based on Quentin’s script, True Romance, ranks 157th; while Tarantino’s first big movie Reservoir Dogs ranks 97th and last but not least, on a list of 500, applause please, Pulp Fiction ranks 9th! Check this list out, it’s yet another way to see if you’re a real cineast. How many of those 500 have you seen? Where would you rank Quentin’s movies? Anyways, way to go Quentin. And screw lists with order, they suck. Just look where Scorsese’s Casino ranks, case in point.
